Get Ready "BALLOON-POWERED INTERNET FOR EVERYONE"

Google's "PROJECT LOOON"

Hello there,

First of all, a  heart full of congratulation to all Indians and the man who made it as Google's CEO, Mr. SUNDAR PICHAI.

43 year old Sundar pichai takes over as the CEO of Google, who as an Indian, graduated from IIT kharagpur, he will take care of googles many services such as search, ads, youtube, chrome and the most famous ANDROID.

As their are many possibilities for tech innovation at google, google is constantly investing in new project ideas and implementing them to real life. So, today we are talking Googles most innovative project, "PROJECT LOON"

What is Project LOON?

Google's Internet in the sky

Project Loon is a research and development project being developed by Google X with the mission of providing Internet access to rural and remote areas.

Project Loon balloons float in the stratosphere, twice as high as airplanes and the weather. In the stratosphere, there are many layers of wind, and each layer of wind varies in direction and speed. Loon balloons go where they’re needed by rising or descending into a layer of wind blowing in the desired direction of travel.

By partnering with Telecommunications companies to share cellular spectrum they’ve enabled people to connect to the balloon network directly from their phones and other LTE-enabled devices. The signal is then passed across the balloon network and back down to the global Internet on Earth.

Project Loon began in June 2013 with an experimental pilot in New Zealand, where a small group of Project Loon pioneers tested Loon technology. The results of the pilot test, as well as subsequent tests in New Zealand, California’s Central Valley and in Northeast Brazil, are being used to improve the technology in preparation for the next stages of the project.

Earlier this year, Google 2015 I/O, annual developer conference, google unveils discussing one of its most ambitious initiatives: Project Loon, Google's effort to beam broadband Internet access down to remote or rural regions.

If it can overcome the remaining challenges, the service will get started more widely by the end of 2016 and is looking at unreached Internet markets such as Latin America, Africa,  and India as the best places to start.

LETS MEET "INTERNET OF THINGS"

       Hello there,

We all know in some sense what is INTERNET, it is the request for a webpage given by some user or client to the server and server responds it with a valid webpage which contains useful info.....

Internet is the most used entity in today's day to day life, from a village farmer to the most geeky guy in tech is using it at its fullest.
But the word which is most haunted in the year 2015 is "INTERNET OF THINGS".

In many of the 2015 technological conferences,  this term has been used many times and many technologist have discussed about the future of "Internet of Things".

So, What is "INTERNET OF THINGS"??

The basic definition says "The Internet of Things (IoT) is an environment in which objects, animals or people are provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction"

As all definition are tedious to understand, this one is one of them.
Lets understand it simply...

In the IOT environment, technology get personal, means right from goods, objects, machines, appliances, buildings, vehicles, animals, plants, even soil will go online. You can access it from your smartphone.

Right now some companies have started implementing IOT to sell fruits vegetable, furniture, machines etc. The technological giant company GOOGLE have launched tool for home automation control which can be accessed by your smartphone.

In IOT, devices will always be connected with each other to control the things.

With IOT, the objects and people will become the part of internet, where objects in IOT will become intuitive, for eg if your refrigerator run out of eggs, it will order more eggs from online shop.

But if IOT is not controlled, privacy as a concept will become meaningless.

The days will become come true when gesture recognition technique from Tom cruise movie "Minority Report" will come into reality and help IOT grow.

In IOT you will encounter a completely new way of interacting to the world and learning about the things.

Dr. John Barrett explains the Internet of Things in his TED talk:

Do watch it to understand more.

      Thanks.

Understanding Technology Individually.....

Hello friends,

This is my first article on this blog. Here I want to talk about the title of this blog which says "STAND ALONE IN THE TECH...understanding technology individually"

I choose this tagline because I think, everyday new technology is bursting with new features and new promises but as an individual everyone is understanding it individually and using it in their own way.

I mean, from Facebook to whatsapp and from twitter to google plus everyone is using these social media in their own way. someone is using it for the sheer entertainment while on the other side someone is using it for creating his value in the society, while other person is using it for learning new technology, and sharing his knowledge with others.

We know that technology is changing our world day by day and this is the age of new ideas being implemented using new technology. We never know while reading this article someone might be implementing something new using the same technology which will be famous the next day.

so keep learning new things, keep using technology and understanding it individually....
